Our non-lawyer staff members are an integral part of the Combs Greene team! The hard work, dedication, attention-to-detail and compassion of our staff members is a vital part of the intelligent representation, individual attention and innovative solutions we provide to our clients.
Shannon began her career at Combs Greene in 2007 — quickly becoming an invaluable member of the team. Shannon is now the most senior full-time staff member. She is the primary legal assistant to Deborah Greene, and performs a variety of administrative functions, all with aplomb. Shannon has the unique ability to be efficient, while also being compassionate and empathetic.
Shannon grew up in Jacksonville, but she’s lived in Hilliard for the past 11 years, with her husband, step-son and three dogs. Shannon enjoys saltwater fishing (she favors drum, sheepshead and redfish), going to the beach and taking the dogs to the dog park. Shannon has two sisters, one of whom is also a legal assistant at a local law firm. Shannon’s favorite movies are The Green Mile and The Notebook, and her favorite books are Marley and Me, and The Shining.
Jennell began her career at Combs Greene in early 2013 as the primary legal assistant to Steve Combs. Jennell has proven to be an excellent legal assistant, while at the same time exuding warmth to our clients. She’s is also willing to take on any assignment (“no” isn’t in her vocabulary), including becoming our resident “handy woman” (she really is able to “fix” just about anything)!
Jennell grew up in Jacksonville, and Portsmouth, Virginia, but she’s also lived in California and Massachusetts. Jennell has two children, a boy and a girl, and besides spending time with her family, she loves shopping, sewing and cooking. Jennell ran track in high school (specializing in long distance running, relay races, and hurdles). Jennell’s favorite books are The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne, and Wheat Bellies, by Dr. William Davis, and her favorite movie is Con Air.
Lynne has been working as a legal assistant for over 20 years, and she’s been with Combs Greene since 2004. Lynne is Deborah Greene’s mother and Steve Combs’ mother-in-law. Lynne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team; she is the primary legal assistant working on our personal injury cases. Lynne is an excellent legal assistant, and she provides a compassionate ear to our clients.
Lynne was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, but lived in Jacksonville for much of her growing up years, as well as for most of her adult life. Lynne has three daughters and seven grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family, Lynne enjoys gardening, sewing, quilting, reading and walking. Lynne’s favorite movies are Steel Magnolias, Midnight in Paris and Paradise Road, and her favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird and Pillars of the Earth.
Brandon began his career at Combs Greene in 2010, and he works as our receptionist, file clerk, and general “jack of all trades.” Brandon works part-time at our firm, while attending college full-time. Brandon is headed for law school once he completes his undergraduate degree, and we hope he might work at Combs Greene as lawyer one day! Brandon has certainly proven to be an integral part of our team!
Brandon grew up in Fernandina Beach, Florida, and he graduated from Bishop Kinney High School. Brandon has always worked, while attending college, including as a cashier at Winn Dixie, a counselor at a kids’ camp, and a pizza delivery guy. Brandon loves sports, and he even played ice hockey for a Jacksonville travel team, as well as at FSU! Brandon’s favorite movie is Batman Dark Knight Rises and his favorite books include the Game of Thrones series.
Jacqueline has been working as a legal assist for over 20 years, and she’s been with Combs Greene since 2011. Jacqueline works as our Bankruptcy and Billing Specialist. She has been working in the Bankruptcy field for over 18 years, and she is knowledgeable, calm and empathetic with our clients.
Jacqueline was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and moved her family to Jacksonville Florida 18 years ago after the islands were hit by a major hurricane. When she’s not spoiling her grandchildren, she’s enjoying local Caribbean and cultural events, appreciating weekend getaways, or watching a good movie. As a former drafter, she loves designing homes. Jacqueline’s favorite movies are The Firm and Enemy of the State and her favorite books are Encouraging Words for Women and God’s Little Lessons for Mothers
